Intimidating Football Quotes

in the Coast Guard presence Argentina

In Argentina 18 º Boat Show, held weeks ago in the San Fernando Yacht Park, the Naval Prefecture Argentina (PNA) put on display several of its most modern: Zodiac Hurricane RIB, ATVs and vehicles Polaris, Sea Doo watercraft and a Schweizer 300C helicopter light, more than other teams presented was most attractive displayed by the security forces.

The history of Light Helicopter Schweizer 300C begins in 1964 when Hughes Helicopters develops a three-seat variant of the Hughes 269A, two-seater helicopter is widely accepted in the early years of the 60s, marketed as the Hughes 269B Hughes 300 . In 1969 goes to market an improved version of the Hughes 300C, with improved engine, rotor of more length and greater capacity. In 1983 Schweizer Aircraft begins to manufacture under license from Hughes and acquires the definitive duties in 1986, when he received the present name Schweizer 300C.

To date we have made some 2800 helicopters of this type, and some lining in the armed forces and security various countries in its training functions as utilitarian. The cost is about U $ S 250,000, - per unit. The Coast Guard Argentina acquired 6 (six) drives in 3 runs, 2 (two) in 1996, 2 (two) in 1999 and 2 (two) in 2001 for use in short-range coastal surveillance, anti- drug trafficking, training of pilots and functions SAR (Search and Rescue, Search and Rescue). Were deployed to bases in the PNA in Posadas, Corrientes, Santa Fe and San Fernando (Buenos Aires).

As the distinguishing characteristic of the Schweizer PNA are equipped with floats filled polyurethane (4.7 m long and 27kg)-which gives them some amphibious capability, and a side table that is mounted on supports located on the right side of the fuselage. It also has a hook load that allows you to carry up to 385kg suspended.

(1) was destroyed in the crash in Entre Ríos in October 1999.
(2) was destroyed in the crash in San Fernando (Buenos Aires) in January 2010.

How is there are only 4 helicopters Schweizer on active duty after the accident numerals and PA-91 PA-92 , the latter with the tragic toll of two fatalities. Helicopters and PA-90 PA-94 also damaged in operational accidents but could be repaired and remain on active duty. In September 2010 the PNA called for bids to purchase two more units to replace those lost Schweizer, but do not know the results of that call.
