in this room may know the history and present of Submarine Weapon the Armada Argentina , through a very detailed tour of the 5 generations of submarines who crossed our seas with the national ensign.
Of eleven (11) ships as part of this journey, seven (7) fall under the classification of submersible and four (4) remaining within the denomination of real submarines. Broadly speaking we can say that while the former were capable surface ships to dive on a casual basis, the latter are prepared to spend most of the time immersion. Given this feature submersibles had higher surface speed dive, while the submarine is given the reverse.
The 5 generations are made as follows:
1. First Generation: Class Cavallini (Italy), 3 submersible.
2. Second Generation: Balao Class Fleet (USA), 2 submersible.
3. Third Generation: Class GUPPY (USA), 2 submarines.
4. Fourth Generation: Class IKL 209 (Germany), 2 submarines.
5. Fifth Generation: 1700 Class TR (Germany), 2 submarines.
